SSAS Tabular - Excel filtering date RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everybody

I have a dimdate in my SSAS tabular; it's marked as a date in the model; and I have a field as date.

In excel ( Sorry the screenshot is in french)

If i put the field date in row label, it's working as a date,  I can filter and navigate as a date.

If I put in report filter, it's no longer working as a date ( filtering as text)

Do you know why it's working like this ( Excel 2010 ) ?

How to have this working correctly ?

    Thanks in advance

Sorry, I can not see your uploaded screenshot. But If I understand you correctly, this is a expected behavior. If a date field is in the Report Filter area, only the date check boxes are available. If you want to filter for a date range, move the field to the Row or Column area instead.
