Does Windows Live-ID support Win32-based thick clients? RRS feed

  • Question

  • The high level discussion about how Windows Live-Id works said that the you redirect the web browser to the Windows LiveID site, with an encoded URL argument for the redirect back after authenticaiton.

That works fine for a purely web-based application, but fails to work very practically in a Win32-based thick client. Is there any support for Windows Live-Id (even if .Net based) - where the caller is not using a web-browser?

Web-service calls are fine. But the client UI needs to be done without a web-browser.
