SSRS SQL Server 2014 SP2 with SharePoint 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Has anyone been able to install SSRS SQL Server 2014 SP2 with SharePoint 2016. I am able to add in the feature through the SQL installer, but even after running scripts to install SSRS, I do not see the feature service in my Central Admin site.

This is probably a compatibility issue but I'm looking for a confirmation?

  • Hi   AY SUBNET

Based on your description. The problem is related to the errors during installation.

The SSRS of SQL server2014 and SharePoint are not compatible. For More compatible information between SQL server and SharePoint. You can refer Supported combinations of SharePoint and Reporting Services server.

And also you can get help from here  to install Reporting Services in SharePoint mode.

If you still get this issue ,you can post the setup log for us .

    The setup log address: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\nnn\Setup Bootstrap\Log

    Best regards,

  • Hi AY SUBNET

As the Supported combinations of SharePoint and Reporting Services server  points, The SSRS version and SharePoint version you have are not compatible.

You can upgrade your SSRS version to fit SharePoint.

    Hope it can help you.

    Best Regards,

    Eric Liu
