Ratings report on the Dashboard is showing unexpected reviews for some apps

    General discussion

  • The Ratings report is showing unexpected rating and review’s data for a small set of apps. Specifically, the issue impacts apps that were first reviewed around the middle of January. The engineering team is working on a fix. As part of the fix, all developers will see an interruption to Ratings reports for around 3-4 hours. During this time, you will see no Reviews data for January 1st through to the present day. After the fix is in place, Review reports will again show data up to the present day.

No data loss or data corruption has occurred as a result of this issue. The issue is a result of a mislabeling of data in the system powering the Review reports. We appreciate the developers that brought this issue to our attention, and we appreciate your patience while the fix is being deployed. This post will be updated once we have a timeframe for the deployment of the fix.

    Update February 13, 2014:
At 2:20 PST today the Rating and Review report’s data will be interrupted for approximately four hours. The Engineering team will be deploying a fix for the Review bug causing the Dashboard to show unexpected reviews for some apps. All accounts will see reviews data removed on the portal from January 1st to the present day. After the fix has been deployed, Rating and Reviews data from January 1st to the present day will be gradually available on the portal, and the Reviews fix will have been deployed.

    Update February 14, 2014:
