Custom Security Sample for SSRS 2019? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We have been using the code that was posted on this url:
    https://github.com/microsoft/Reporting-Services/tree/master/CustomSecuritySample2016
when implementing custom authentication for SSRS 2016.
We need to switch to SSRS 2019 now, but can't find any documentation on how to do the same thing on this version.
We are curious whether this possibility is still available for SSRS 2019 and if yes, how to achieve it.

    Can someone help?

  • Hi,

As far as I know this feature hasn't been changed in recently versions.

You still could follow this sample in SSRS2017/SSRS2019.

    Regards,

    Lukas

  • We have noticed that there are differences between SSRS 2016 and SSRS 2019 already in the file structure.

We have tried to use "CustomSecuritySample2016" for SSRS 2019 (updated paths to be in line with the file structure) but unfortunately got "Internal Server error 500" when trying to access the Web Portal URL.

  • It seems there hasn't been a new sample for SSRS2019 being released.
