  • Correct. The accounts the People app links to are included in the People app's code.

  • You cannot. Windows Store apps are stand-alone and are not extendable outside of the standard contracts.

You can provide contacts from your app via a Contact picker  (extension). This will enable your contacts to be available any time a user chooses a contact with the Contact Picker.

  • We have implemented the contact contract and it works well.  Is there a process that can get our app into this list?  How did linkedin and the others do it?  I believe that having our app available in the list would be a natural use case.

  • I did notice that after the people app had been updated more options were available.  So our app would need to be added into the people app code itself?

  • Correct. The accounts the People app links to are included in the People app's code.
