Windows CE supports in MultiMonitor different resolutions RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I have a system (ARM) that has multi monitor support and it seems to work correct but only if I use the same resolution on for the different monitors. If I try to use different resolutions on each screen I get a mess on both screens.

Does Windows CE support different resolutions on multi monitor screens?

If yes is something special necessary in the video driver?

    Best regards,

    Mike

  • Hi Michel,

thanks for your reply and I think that with the crash you mentioned I have seen but I think I have all QFEs installed on my system. I will check it again and will work more on the video driver to get it running.

    Best regards,

    Mike

  • Yes, Windows CE supports different resolutions on multiple monitors.
There used to be a bug where if you would move the mouse in no-mans-land

    +--------+------------------+
    | monitor| |
    | 1 | monitor |
    +--------+ 2 |
      no | |
     mans | |
     land +------------------+

GWES would crash. I filed that as a bug long time ago and I think a QFE
    was released to fix this.

IIRC you don't need anything special in the display driver, apart from
    multi-monitor capability of course.
