  • Hello heizhe,

Your OS is Windows 7 SP1 so 4.6 is supported on your OS. I guess the problem can due to two reasons:

    1. Network problem. Your installation is corrupt due to the installer. So please give the offline installer a try:

    http://download.microsoft.com/download/C/3/A/C3A5200B-D33C-47E9-9D70-2F7C65DAAD94/NDP46-KB3045557-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe

    2. Your system has errors that should be fixed before the installation of .NET Framework 4.6. In that way, as pvdg42 mentioned, we need your logs. But you can also try use sfc /scannow before you try the logs.

Anyway, please follow pvdg42's advice to give us logs for further troubleshooting.

    Best regards,

    Barry

  • The partial log you posted shows only the generic fatal error and not what caused it.

Please provide your complete log set as follows:

Please collect your install logs with this:

    http://aka.ms/vscollect

After you run Collect.exe, you'll find vslogs.cab in your %temp% directory. Please upload vslogs.cab to a public site, like OneDrive, and post the link here.
