Expression Web 4 with RequiredFieldValidators and Browser Issues. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Now Iam working on a project for school.

I completed the tutorial about creating forms and sending the data to an e-mail address(http://expression.microsoft.com/en-us/cc950443.aspx) Alright, now I added a DWT, however I left the code exactly how it was, didn't change anything. I also included RequiredFieldValidators so that the person has to enter there information in all the fields. However I get a different response depending on what browser I use. If I use FireFox, provided I left all the fields blank, it will still send the information. Second attempt is random, sometimes it will work and sometimes won't, and then other times I will get an error message. I sort of have better time with Internet Explorer, provided I up loaded the page for the first time, and leave the fields blank the form will go through, however if I click survey again, leaving all the fields blank, and hit sumbit, it will work and tell the user to fill in the blank fields.  Would it be possible to have to work in both browsers with no issues?

  • A viewstate / MAC error is not an EW issue, and is not a browser issue.  It's an asp.net question.

Asp.Net questions can be asked on the asp.net forum: http://forums.asp.net/
