Redemption GetDecryptedMessage to remove encryption from email RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all

I have an encrypted email which I want to decrypt with Redemption and save the decrypted message to disk. Using the code example from the official Redemption site the body of the decrypted message is empty.

    set Session = CreateObject("Redemption.RDOSession")
    Session.MAPIOBJECT = Application.Session.MAPIOBJECT
    set Msg = Session.GetMessageFromMsgFile("z:\Temp\Encrypted.msg ")
    set DecryptedMsg = Msg.GetDecryptedMessage

    MsgBox DecryptedMsg.Body

Can someone help or give me a hint how to solve this issue?

    Thanks and regards

  • Hello LuceBree,

Did you try to debug? Do you see another properties of the decrypted message?

Anyway, I'd recommend contacting the Redemption developer at http://dimastr.com/redemption/contact.htm .

  • Hi Eugene

Yes, I did. I can see other properties as Subject, SenderName, MessageClass, etc. but not the body of the message.

Maybe there is an issue with the encrpytion?

CertificateAlgorithmOID : <Error in CryptMsgGetParam: Invalid cryptographic message type.> : String

I will contact the developer anyway, thanks.

  • Can you zip that MSG file and send it to Dmitry at dimastr dot com?

    Thanks!
