  • Need to know if I can edit images and coloring etc in a clients asp website with ew ?

    Just need to clean up and update images etc etc.

    Have not done anything with asp websites previously

    Site is www.jrconsumer.com

  • Yes you can, easily, although EW gives no support for Classis ASP itself (ie no intellisense for VBScript).

    Although you can edit live, don't. Create a new blank site on your local PC. From this site and within EW, connect to the live site with FTP and copy it down to the local site.

    You can then edit and test your changes before publishing them back to the live server.

    Note that to preview the site locally you will need to install IIS and configure the site within IIS, because the EW Development Server doesn't support Classic ASP.

  • You mighty be able to FTP into the site directly and edit code, but manipulating images can't be done unless you're controlling them with CSS styles.

    Thank you, however I tried that and cant use standard ftp

    Its sftp with a 222 port setting, tried sftp but need to set port

    So how could I download in EW for that ?
