Where are Data Connections Physically Stored on PC?

    Question

  • I have a user that went through a lot of effort to get their Data Connections set up in Server Explorer within Visual Studio 2013 on a Windows 10 PC. Unfortunately we had to deactivate his Windows profile on that box and create a fresh one. Now his Data Connections are gone, assuming associated with the old profile. He can't remember all the steps he did a few months ago to get those connections set up and really wants not to have to recreate the wheel again.  Where can I find those settings in the old profile to apply to his current one?  Are they in a file location or in the registry?

    Thanks for any help!

  • Thanks Carlos.  I was able to restore that file and while it didn't automatically show up in the VS Data connections, I was able to search the file for "Label ID" and find all the connections that should be there and manually added them into VS. I appreciate your help!
