methods and variables in same dropdown at top of editor, VS2017 RRS feed

  • Question

  • When editing VB source code in Visual Studio 2017, the dropdown at the top of the editor now contains methods and variables. Is there a way to turn that off? I only want methods in the dropdown.

  • The only option is to turn the bar on/off. The only possibility to change this behavior is to write an extension for Visual Studio which is not an easy task if you've never written an extension before.

  • It doesn't look like there is a way to filter the navigation bar, however, you can use the Class View and then sort by member type.
