How to update alias email id for an user using Graph API? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

Is there any possibility to update alias email Id for an user using Graph API in Office 365? As checked some reference regarding this I came cross that adding alias email is not supported in Graph API and can be achieved using Power Shell commands. Is this true or any possible way to achieve this using Graph API?

kindly share your thoughts in this.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Ragunaathan,

It is not possible to update alias email Id for a user using Graph API. You may do it through Powershell and if it is a Hybrid environment you can do it through ADSI edit.

    Thanks

  • I believe this is now possible with the announcement made in July.  See https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/docs/api-reference/beta/resources/users with mailNickname.
