Surpress installation dialog for VSTO add-in RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm currently facing the issue that I developed a VSTO add-in for MS Project 2010 and I built a setup routine described in following article:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff937654.aspx

The add-in was installed properly and is working fine, the only problem is that after the first initialization of the add-in there was a dialog that asked the user to install the add-in because the publisher is not thrustworthy. Thus, we got a certificate to surpress this additional dialog. But the only thing that changed was, that it displays "Publisher has been verified" instead of the warning that it's not verified.

Now the question: How is it possible to avoid this last dialog after installing a VSTO via windows installer and just start the add-in without any further user interaction after the windows installer placed everything where it should be?

    Greetings

    Michael
