Word Docx - Document Level View RRS feed

  • Question

  • How do you set the View that loads when you open a document level solution? Sometimes it opens as a Draft and Sometimes as a Print Layout. Perfer Print Layout but would accept any standard.

  • I looked over it about 4 times "Is it friday yet?"! Thanks You...
    Doc.ActiveWindow.ActivePane.View.Type = Word.WdViewType.wdPrintView;

  • It's saved in the individual document, so it will be whatever the view was when the document was last closed.

    If it's a new doument, Word should use the view that was last used in the UI.

    If you want to force a view, use the DocumentOpen event in your VSTO add-in to set the View.

  • It is not always consistant in opening the document in Print Layout. Sometime it does sometimes it opens in Draft and sometimes the Print Layout...

    I would like to force it I setup the DocumentOpen Event and trying to find the way to force the view. I was able to force Reading, but I don't see how to push the Print Layout or Draft. Can you give me a hint?
