Problem when installing: Microsoft .net Client 3.5 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I cleared my %temp%, ran as administrator, and it still opens up installation, gets to 0%, and says setup is finished and it installed..

    But it didn't.

This is the log it's outputting:

  • It didn't and won't work because Windows 7 installs .NET Framework 2.0/3.0/3.5 through 3.5 SP1 as an integral part of the OS. It's already there.

  • Hi Jenzuka,

Like pvdg42 said, for the Windows 7 system, the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is installed as system component. To repair/reinstall the .NET Framework 3.5, you can perform the steps below:

    1. Go to Start menu -> Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows Features on or off.
    2. Unselect the checkbox of the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1, click OK.
    3. Then open the Turn Windows Features on or off again, and select the checkbox of the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1, click OK.

If you have any concern, please feel free to let me know.

Windows 7. I tried to install framework 3.5 but that didn't work either, so I installed 4.0 successfully.
