How Do You seperate TextArea layout RRS feed

  • (this editor really sux. this is the third time trying to post this. it keeps losing my text.)

I have been trying to do a SplitPage application with input fields. I started with the default SplitPage project.

On the SplitPage.html I change the Description

    <p class="description" data-win-bind="textContent: description"></p>

    and Article fields

    <article class="content" data-win-bind="innerHTML: content"></article>

    to TextArea tags.
    <textarea id="description" class="description" data-win-bind="textContent: description" style="height: 118px;">TEXT</textarea>

    <textarea id="contentbox" class="content" aria-multiline="true" data-win-bind="innerHTML: content" style="height: 386px;">TEXT</textarea>

Once I did this, I went in to Expression to adjust the layout. I discovered that I could not adjust one without the other also magically adjusting itself. (for example change the width on the Article and the Description TextArea also changed)

I tried getting rid of all of the CSS related attributes with no change.
I checked the associated SplitPage.css for any common classes, there are none.
I tried changing one to a different input (ie <input ) tags with no change.

The only thing that makes a difference is if one of them is a non-editable control such as a <div/> or just static text.
This essentially means that if there are different sized text input fields required, they cannot exist on the same page.

How can you make two <TextArea> input fields on the same page, have independent layout and CSS styles, without having to create specific overriding CSS classes for each which would be idiotic.
