crm url not opening (HTPP 400 Bad request) but localhost working

Question

recently i installed crm successfully...
but when I launch the URL like http://localhost:5555....its working fine

when I launch the URL http://myserver:5555...its displaying error message saying  (HTPP  400 Bad request) ????

I checked in registrykey settings HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM  in that serverurl is http://myserver:5555/MSCRMServices

Please help me in resolving this issue

Hi,

I think, you have a problem with the DNS Server and/or the resolution of the servername to an ip.

You can check this with the DNSlite Tool from microsoft from here:

Hi,

Can you access with this url http://<IP>:5555/orgname    {IP of your crm server}

and from another system  try to ping your crm server using machine name.

Hi,

try to do an nslookup on your crm-server.

if this does not work, you have surely a name resolution problem.

Otherwise can it be that there is a problem with the IIS Pool?
