Team Foundation Server 2012 - Map different server folder to one local folder - How is that possible? RRS feed

  • Frage

  • Hi,

we're recently migrated to Team Foundation Server 2012 from Visual Source Safe.

Due to our products we develop, we had in our Visual Source Safe for each product one folder and in it the complete directory-structure. (Product X has the directories Addin, Shared, Source, Bat etc, Product Z has the same directories).

Our products are Addons for an ERP-System and the files have to lie in the directories given by the ERP-System. These folders are Addin, Shared etc. which i mentioned above.

The consequence is, that many product-folder in Visual Source Safe are mapped to the same local folder, the root folder of the ERP-System.

When we try this in TFS, there is an error like this:

The local folder could not be set to "C:\Program Files (x86)\sage" because it is already the local folder for another server folder.

Is there any workaround for this?

  • Hi,
