Cannot register VS C++ 2008

Question

Dear all,

I originally posted this in the VC++ Express General Forum and was redirected here.

I installed some months ago Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition [Language = DE] due to old libraries I use that do not work with higher versions. My OS is Windows 7.

Recently I got the information that I have to register the product. The registration did not work.

If I start at the moment Visual C++ 2008 a window pop up "Produktregistrierung von Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition". If I click on "Jetzt registrieren" (Register Now) The link leads to Account login and than to Error404.

I already tried:

- New installation

- Repair

- System shutdown

- I tried to use also an old key

Any suggestions?

Hallo Chris,

Hier ist das deutschsprachige MSDN-Forum, Du brauchst nicht auf Englisch zu schreiben. Ich verschiebe jetzt die Frage in das geeignete Unterforum (Installation und Registrierung der Express-Editionen); es ist viel wahrscheinlicher, dass jemand Dir dort weiterhelfen kann.
