Wenn ja, ist das auch mit VB2008 unter Windows möglich?
wenn man dem Hinweis auf der Webseite glauben darf, ist das sicher nicht möglich:
"Please note that MonoTouch requires a Mac, Apple's iPhone SDK and you must be part of Apple's iPhone Developer Program to test and deploy your software on a device and to redistribute your code."
Es geht wohl in erster Linie darum zu testen und das Zeug irgendwie auf iPad/iPhone zu bekommen. Das geht ohne Mac nicht und damit erscheint eine Entwicklung unter Windows auch kaum sinnvoll/effektiv.
Ferner kann man in der FAQ lesen:
"Does MonoTouch support Visual Basic?
Currently MonoTouch does not support Visual Basic.
We are looking at adding support for Visual Basic on upcoming versions of MonoTouch."
Selbst auf dem Mac wäre man also auch auf C# festgelegt, um Apps für das iPhone/iPad zu entwickeln.
In der
Roadmap spricht man für zukünftige Versionen auch die Unterstützung von Visual Studio an:
"
Extend Mono for Visual Studio to allow developers to use Visual Studio to develop iPhone applications.
You will still need a Mac computer to do the builds, code signing and testing, but you will be able to develop from within Visual Studio to work on this."
