Hiding Section and Tabs in CRM4.0 using JQuery

Question

Dear all

      Can anyone tell me how to hide the section and tabs in ms crm4.0 using jQuery..i know hide these sections and tabs using javascript.
Also please tell me where jQuery can be used in CRM4.0 very effectively when compared to javascript. i am new to jQuery..
Please help me out..
