Creating private notes field in Dynamics CRM 4.0 RRS feed

  • Frage

  • Good afternoon,

We are using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 for our customer relations.
Now the users are requesting if it is possible to create private fields in the contact tables.

So when they edit an account or contact they would like an extra notes cell in which they can input information that only they can access.
    Is this possible?

    Greetings,

For adding private fields you can add a custom entity in relation to the contact entity. All private information can be stored there. The security role for this entity should be configured appropriately.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Chris,

with the standard of the crm it is not possible to use field level security on the forms. There are third party modules on the markt with implement field level security in crm.
