Trying the Azure Tutorial leads to an SQL Server not found error. RRS feed

  • Allgemeine Diskussion

  • I would have posted this in the Azure Troubleshooting and diagnostics Forum but I coudn´t figure out how to post into a special forum.

Maybe someone could give me a hint. Any help would be apreciated.

    Anyhow,

I tried the tutorial on the Windows Azure Portal "ASP.Net MVC3 Webapplication with SQL Azure"

I followed along the tutorial and everything went smoothly until I tried to publish the application to Azure using SQL Server (Azure).

The test to publish the app to azure without SQL Access did work well.

I was able to connect to the Azure SQL Server using SQL Server Management Studio and the credentials I used in the connection strings in the web.config.

I switched off the windows firewall to test if any firewall blocks could be the problem.

Sorry for posting this in the SQL Server Forum but as I said before I could not figure out how to post in a specific forum.

Maybe one of the moderators could move this post amd maybe tell me how to better next time.

    thank you for the efforts.

Below I will show my Web.Config and the error message I got:
