Files hang

Question

Sometimes one of the files on the dynamics server can't be opened.
We have to reset our PC to get it to come back up.  At this time we
can access the internet so there's nothing wrong with the PC's connection.

I feel there must be an inactivity timer set on the Dynamics software for
files it provides to users.  Can anyone provide that parameter?

HI,

what you mean when you say "sometimes one of the files in then dynamics server can't be open"

What software do you mean? Navision, CRM, GP, other?

Thanks for responding.  I believe it's CRM.  But the point is the user
has to reset his PC sometimes to access a file.  I believe the CRM must
be timing out the PC.  I'm not familiar with this software but there probably
is an inactivity timer for opened files on the CRM system.  Can anyone
tell me if this is true and what the parameter's are?

If you hace an IFD-Deployment, than the IIS has a timeout of 20 minutes that you can change.
