We have CRM4.0 update 9 and I am about to install the Email Router on my Exchange 2007 Server. I am trying to understand something. I have worflows set up to emial individual users and need this set up but not sure if I need to set up both incoming and outgoing profiles. Also, do I need to set up forwarding? Not understanding forwarding too well. All of the employees here use the outlook for CRM and track messages through outlook. I am just setting up Email Router for my workflows so only need the minimum settings. Can someone make sense of this for me
If I have understood you correct, you want only to send mails via workflows? In order to do this you have to configure only an outgoing profile for your users and the e-mail router. There is no need for a forwarding mailbox or an incoming profile, if you don't want to track incoming e-mails automatically.
