developer license on ubuntu

Hello,

I have installed a SQL Server in an ubuntu Server (vagrant).

How can I register a developer license to avoid that the evaluation license expires.

Hi Serge,

this is a german forum, so you should use the english forum instead.

From my understanding there is no way to downgrade. You should install the developer edition instead!

Download Developer

If you need your databases, move them by backup und restore.

vielen Dank für die schnelle Antwort.

Ich möchte die vorhandene Installation gar nicht behalten. Aktuell installiere ich beim Erzeugen der Vagrant-Box mit Ubuntu folgende Edition : Microsoft Sql Server 2017 Standard.

Unter https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/sql-server/sql-server-downloads kann man nur die Developer Edition für Windows herunterladen (zumindens habe ich nur das gefunden). Ich suche diese Edition für Ubuntu.

Hallo Serge,

Die Installation läuft unter Linux gänzlich anders als unter Windows, auch der Download läuft anders ab, eine detaillierte Anleitung findest Du unter Installationsleitfaden für SQL Server on Linux, da gibt es auch eine speziell für die Ubuntu Distribution.

Welche Edition (Express, Developer, etc.) zum Einsatz kommt, gibt man beim Setup in der Konfigurationsdatei an.
