    Hi,

    I would like to know about the Lock functionality implemented in CRM. When we are trying to perform a certain action on a particular entity like creating attribut, relationship then, will this lock those associated tables? What is the purpose of this locking? Can anyone give some good clarification on this.

    AFAIK there is no official statement from Microsoft about this behavior. I would estimate that this is for being able to rollback changes when there is somewhere an error while changing a table.
