I am trying to capture a barcode scanner which acts as a keyboard in a service and not have the scanner/keyboard pass its input to whatever other field is open on the PC (someone may be working on the server and this using the scanner should not interfere
with this).
I have setup a keyboard hook, but this method is not perfect as a real keyboard input can be caught in the scan, as well as the application crashes if the barcode scanner is used ecstatically (due to a timing issue with the GC).
Is there a way to enable the capture reliably in windows?
