WebPlan creation in West Europe fails RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I execute the following code:

az group create --name testRG --location westeurope
az appservice plan create -g testRG -n MyWebAppPlan --sku S1
    az webapp create -g $RG -n MyWebAppTest123 -p MyWebAppPlan -r "aspnet|v4.7"

    It fails on line 2:

alex@Azure:~$ az appservice plan create -g testRG -n MyWebAppPlan --sku S1

  • Hi Alex,

Based on the error message you got, the data center that you are trying to create your app service plan in is constrained and does not have additional instances available at this time. Please try a different data center or try again in a few hours as we are always adding additional instances.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    Thanks,

    Grace

  • Have exactly the same issue...

I try many time to create a new WEb app, but can't create a S1 Plan... Then I should create a P1V2 and it is working.

When I try to scale to S1, same error again.

Hope it will be fixed soon...

  • Hi Alex,

Would you mind creating a new post that includes the steps/commands you executed in 'az'? I thought there might have been a hardware limitation for westeurope; however, I was able to successfully create an S1 plan that could scale up to P1V2 and back down S1.

    Thanks in advance, Ryan
