Unable to implement Windows Authentication RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi experts,

I have created a web-based utility which allows access on SQL Server database.

Since SQL Server allows the user to login through Windows Authentication or SQL server authentication, I need to implement the same in the utility as well. It should accept Windows login credentials of the user who is accessing it on his machine.

The application fails when a user tries to logon to it with his windows credentials for connecting to the SQL server database using windows authentication.

Currently, ASP.net impersonation is also disabled in the IIS settings.

Also,  I am using sqlconnection to set the connection string.

Can anyone provide me any pointers on how to explicitly pass Windows login credentials of a user to the SQL Server Database using Windows authentication.

    Thanks in advance,
