Azure blob not deletable via CDN RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am here again with a CDN problem :)

I have created an Azure Akamai CDN with an endpoint connected to a storage account (block blob only)  and generated a SAS Token with full permissions and it is used to access to a specific container using the CDN endpoint. The SAS Token gives the delete permission and the blobs are deletable throught storage account address (mystorage.blob.core.windows.net) but NOT  throught CDN endpoint (mycdn.azureedge.net).

Is there a way to delete a blob via CDN endpoint?

    Thanks, Dan

  • Hi,

I use pass through method. With a further analysis I found it is an issue of the storage Explorer that returns an "Unexpetcted quit". If I use the Blob Rest API and call a DELETE on the blob (https://docs.microsoft.com/it-it/rest/api/storageservices/delete-blob) or the SDK it works.

    Thanks for your help,

  • Hi,

Are you getting 403 when you try to perform Delete operation via CDN endpoint ?

Are you using pass through method or rewriting the SAS token in your Azure CDN ?
