Backup Setup RRS feed

  • Question

  • Following the steps outlined in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/analysis-services/analysis-services-backup, when we click Save (Step 5), we get:  Failed to save Backup Configuration for the Azure Analysis Services.

    I've also tried acquiring the lease on the selected container, but get the same error message.

    What am I missing?  Is there anywhere to see a log or more details on this error message?

    It seems like the problem is with Storage, may be firewall rules on the backup storage account is blocking configuring the container for AAS Backup location. Azure Analysis Services - Backups cannot be configured to a storage account with firewall rules applied, Storage Firewalls can only work with specific Azure services without additional configuration. Could you please double check if your backup storage account is having firewall rules applied?

    Additional info: If "Allow trusted Microsoft services... " exception has been enabled for your storage, then only few Azure services are granted access to the storage account.
