Moving of the exchange servers to different geographical location RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

What are the steps to be taken for successful migration of the exchange servers to different geographical location.

.A Company named xyz.com has rented some space in one end of the city and have hosted all the services on their premises , they have these following things running.

AD Domain Controllers, Exchange with 2 node Active/Passive cluster configuration, FE Servers, and also hosting their public dns servers on premises.

Now they have owned some space at the other end of the city[geographically distanced location] and want to move every thing over there such as their whole IT infrastructure.

In this case the ISP is same.

Now what are the steps should the IT department should take to move their IT infra especially exchange to the other location with a minimal downtime or without no downtime.

Making sure that the mail delivery should not fail to their business clients during this migration process.

    Replies are highly appreciated.

    Thanks ,
