  • Question

  • Hi Team,

While using ADLCOPY command to copy folder structure from one ADLS storage to another, its giving errors as service returned error. Check inner exception for more details.

Checking ADLCopyVerbose.log its throwing errors as below.

---> (Inner Exception #0) System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> Microsoft.IdentityModel.Clients.ActiveDirectory.AdalServiceException: Service returned error. Check InnerException for more details ---> System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The client and server cannot communicate, because they do not possess a common algorithm

    AdlCopy /Source <Blob or Data Lake Storage Gen1 source> /Dest <Data Lake Storage Gen1 destination> /SourceKey <Key for Blob account> /Account <Data Lake Analytics account> /Units <Number of Analytics units> /Pattern

  • @Lancerique Firstly, apologies for the delay in responding here and any inconvenience this issue may have caused.  Can you try to copy files/folder using Storage Explorer and let me know the status.

Based on the error message you may also refer to the few suggestions and work around have been mentioned in this SO thread.

    Hope this helps!

Kindly let us know if the above helps or you need further assistance on this issue.
