How can I use port in RegistryUri when I import container images from a non-Azure private container registry? RRS feed

  • Question

  • There was a error when I import from non-Azure private container registry.

Invalid value <sourceUri>:<port> for property parameters.Source.RegistryUri for resource name myRegistry. Kindly refer to docs for expected value: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/containerregistry/registries/importimage

And I entered is as follows

az acr import --name myRegistry --source <sourceUri>:<port>/<image>:<tag> --image <image:tag> --username <username> --password <password>

How can I use port in RegistryUri?

  • Hi,

I tried in my subscription as well.

Rest API is not accepting when we give port along with the host name(<sourceUri>:<port>).

I will check with the internal teams and let you know.

  • Hi Panyoung,

I looked at the examples and checked with my team as well.

Nowhere port is mentioned. If we specify port, Then the validation fails. Looks like importing with port is not supported. I raised an issue in the Azure cli github repo regarding this.

    https://github.com/Azure/azure-cli/issues/10523

I will follow up on the github issue and get that to a closure.
