API for Translating Images?

Question
-
Hi there! Microsoft Translator API works great for text and text-to-speech, but we're looking at translation of images. Is there a Microsoft API for this that we can use for OCR, etc.?
Many thanks!
Ben

Hello Ben,
the Microsoft Translator API does not take images as input. You can call an OCR engine before passing the recognized text into the Translator API. You can find OCR services on Azure: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/search/?q=OCR.
Hope this helps,

Hi Ben,
I'm afraid "Bing translator"(Translator Web Widget) has no such features.
Procuct Features
Web Widget Customization API
Sorry, if I've misunderstood about Microsoft Translator API you described.

Thanks Hideki. That's absolutely right, so I was wondering about other Microsoft Translation services that do handle OCR. Looks like Chris' recommendation below of using other Azure services is appropriate.
Thanks for the reply.
