Silent installation of SQL Server Express 2014 using configuration file asks for extract path. RRS feed

  • Question

  • It asks for extract path and it is no more silent.

We need configuration file for our installation.

In configuration file what parameter to give to specify extract to path?

I tried with x: and x= but both did not work.

    Please help.

From your description, it seems you are using command to SQL server silent installation. For a parameter that requires a path: /INSTANCEDIR=c:\Path or /INSTANCEDIR="c:\Path" is supported. Did you mean this? Please try to using x:\ . If I misunderstood, please let me know. Please refer to Install SQL Server from the Command Prompt and Install SQL Server 2014 Using a Configuration File to get more information.
