(Error code: 0x64) Developer Phone Registration RRS feed

  • Hey guys. 

    So I tried to unlock my Windows phone so i can deploy and debug my apps. This is is the second phone am trying to unlock, the first one was okay a while back. I get the following error:

    Error communicating with the Windows Phone Dev Center. Please set the correct date and time on the phone, check the internet connection on the device and try again later (Error code: 0x64)

    I have checked the date/time, region, am connected to WiFi. I have factory reset my phone twice now. Tried several times with and without the SIM. but it keeps showing me this error. 

    My device is :

    Model : HUAWEI 4Afrika

    Software: Windows Phone 8.0

    OS version: 8.0.10211.204

    I have gone through numerous threads over the internet but I cant seem to get an answer. Any help is appreciated.

  • Hi Donald Nyandika,

    Do following steps for these--

    • restarting  phone
    • restarting IpOverUsbSvc service
    • navigating to the phone from the file explorer
    • adjusting the date+time settings to turn Auto time set off
    • using the Windows Phone desktop app to make sure the phone can be connected to
    • making sure all USB drivers are up to date
    • Make sure phone and pc have a internet connection.
