Sending failure status back to Logic App HTTP webhook callback URL RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've configured a Logic App with a HTTP webhook action that calls a long running Azure Function.

The Azure Function successfully receives the callback url from the calling Logic App and successfully sends a POST to the callback url. The issue I'm having is when the Function encounters an error I want to send a POST but indicate there's some sort of problem. Right now I'm getting a green check mark when i look at the Logic App run history.

    Any ideas?

  • I believe there isn't a way to error a webhook action. Instead, you would just have to look into the response and terminate your logic app manually (or even retry the webhook action if required).

  • Could you clarify for me? I'm not sure which response you're referring to.

If my function fails I send a POST back to the webhook to tell it is completed...but not sure how I send to Logic app in general that the function failed and it should act accordingly.
