Collation in Azure Analysis Services tabular model RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    Initially Data Base default collation was Case Insensitive,later we changed to Case Sensitive.

    The same way Azure Analysis Services tabular model default collation is Case Insensitive.Is there any possible way to change it to Case Sensitive.If So please share any link or document.

    Thank you for your query. 


    After verifying with internal team, it is observed that case sensitive collations tend to be problematic – if you use this, you might probably notice problems down the road.

    Changing collation for an AS database that already contains data loaded into it is not possible (the validations for uniqueness would not be accurate). You have to alter the collection in the project and redeploy it and reprocess it.
