  • Question

  • Hi,

         Can we you HTML5 video player in Win Forms? I am aware that we can use "Windows Media Player" COM component on Win Forms, but is there any possibility to use HTML5 video player? If yes, Any idea / suggestion or a code block to implement the above mentioned scenario is highly appreciated.

  • Hi Dillu,

    I'm not sure if it can do it, it seems there is no document to explain this, I suggest you use a generic approach:

            [DllImport("user32.dll")]
            static extern IntPtr SetParent(IntPtr hWndChild, IntPtr hWndNewParent);

            private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
            {
                Process notepad = new Process();
                ProcessStartInfo psi = new ProcessStartInfo(@"notepad.exe");
                psi.WindowStyle = ProcessWindowStyle.Normal;
                notepad.StartInfo = psi;

                notepad.Start();
                notepad.WaitForInputIdle(3000);

                SetParent(notepad.MainWindowHandle, this.Handle);
            }

    Also: Embedding an external executable inside a C# program
