  • Getting exception while executing DataFlow pipeline. "Activity data flow failed. DF-SYS-01 SQLServerException cannot open the database requested by the login.".

    Connection test for the linked SQL Server shows a success however.

  • The error shows that the username and password which you are using to login to your SQL Server database is not valid or does not have the permission to access  the database.

    Please re-check the connection information and try again., Also try accessing the database using SQL Server management studio and try to provide similar credentials in Azure Data Factory.

  • One of the engineers deleted the pipeline i was working with. I tried to reproduce the issue but later realised there was a name confusion between 2 different databases that had different credentials that caused the error.  Thanks for helping.
