Clear TFS Cache on server? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am running TFS 2017 and noticed the data drive for this application is getting low. Checking the folders, I see that it seems the TFS cache is using about 7GB. Can I delete this files?

    Path:

    D:\TFS-CACHE\7283e30c-6565-4a13-b25b-200a0b55c754\Proxy

Not sure if I can just manually delete this files and if it will harm/break anything? TIA

  • Hi GibsonLP2012,

Yes, you can manually delete files in Proxy folder.

Team Foundation Server Proxy distributes popular version control files from its cache at the remote site, rather than having multiple developers from the remote site each download the same file from the main site. Your team at the remote site works like they always have, without managing which version control files get loaded into the cache.

    Best regards,
