How to override default association of my custom file extension on installation of msi RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have created a simple msi , using Visual Studio Setup and Deployment Project type.

I have extension, .est for which I have already defined open verb. After installation the .est files open in my application only.

Now, i have a scenario where , before installation of the my .msi, if the .est file is associated to Notepad by user. Even after the installation of .msi , it keeps on opening in Notepad, until I manually go and associate it with my Application.

Could any one please guide me what am I missing while creating the msi.

    Thanks
