Launch WcfTestClient.exe when debugging a Console Application project RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a console app that hosts several WF services and would like to launch the test client when I hit debug. As far as I can tell there is no way to do so.

    The options seem to be
    Start Project
    or
    Start External Program

Is there a built-in way to do both??

  • You will need to choose whether to run your app with the WF services, or to run the WcfTestClient, if you do it that way. You can always a very simple script that can be executed everytime you hit F5. Just add that script as the 'Start Project' or the 'Start External Program', and you should be good to go.

    Hope this helps.

  • OK...I guess I could write a custom script but this does seem like a strange limitation.

Why can't it be a list of things to execute at debug/startup? Why an OR rather than AND?

    Thanks anyways.
