Azure CLI Add Azure Tag Values with SPACES RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm attempting to write a script to change some resource tags.

No matter what I do, I can not pass a tag with a space in the value.

    az group update -n <resource group> --set tags.key="value with a space"

ONLY works on command line, IT DOESN'T work within a bash script... it only uses the first word, before the space.

  • Azure CLI 2.0 is Microsoft's cross-platform command line experience for managing Azure resources. You can use it in your browser with Azure Cloud Shell, or install it on macOS, Linux, or Windows and run it from the command line.
I have tried from our end it working as excepted, you may check out how to pass tags with spaces.
