WCE 6.0 app crashes when using the debugger RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am developping an WCE application for months, and a couple of days ago it started to crash.
    What I found is that

It works fine when I start the application outside Visual Studio. I just do Deploy, and run it from the device.
In DCUTermi I can read message starting with Exception 'Prefetch Abort' (3): Thread-Id= ...... when the crash happened.
It looks like this issue is known by Microsoft and filed as KB973905

Now I'm stucked in due to that issue, and I'm wondering how to proceed to implement this fix, if it's the right thing to do.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Best Regards,
    Mrutyunjaya

  • I am confused. Is this a ghost post?

The exact same question, the exact same letter for letter was posted on the F&S forum in October 2015.

    Is this for real?

The answer is to add this to the device registry:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework]
        "JITCodeBufferSizeLimitEnabled"=dword:1

  • Dear Mrutyunjaya,

I have no idea why you are doing what you are doing. I've checked your activity on the forums, and your questions are all over the show and many are copied from other very old forum posts that have already been answered.

Are you trying to trick somebody into thinking you have a lot of knowledge? Are you trying to trick MS to get you MVP status? I have no idea what you are trying to accomplish, but I will mark your posts as abuse.

Please refrain from posting on the Microsoft forums in the future, unless you have a legitimate question that hasn't been asked (and answered) many years ago somewhere else on the net.

    Good luck,
