  • Question

  • Hi!

Is there any possibility to use --cap-add docker parameters running a container in Azure Container Instances?

  • I need to run mount --bind ... command in my container instance and this requires CAP_SYS_ADMIN capability enabled (pass --cap-add=SYS_ADMIN to run command).

P.S. As I know AWS allows to add/remove capabilities for containers and I try to find the same feature in Azure.

  • Thanks Serg. I have reached out to the product teams who own container instances they have informed me that as of today this is not supported.

If you feel this is something that should be supported please leave that feedback on our user voice page:

  • Thanks Micah!

Hope in the future this feature will be available.

Will try VMs to complete the workflow I need.
